What is CIRCUFash?
The project aligns with the EU’s objectives of fostering social inclusion and sustainability in fashion. By building partnerships in France, Greece, Romania and The Netherlands, CIRCUFash creates a lasting impact both locally and across Europe. The initiative further supports sustainability by using recycled materials, addressing environmental challenges alongside social ones. Co-financed by the European Commission, CIRCUFash is a blueprint for innovative, transnational collaboration.

The Target Groups
Primary Target Groups
● Marginalized Communities: Refugees, migrants, and survivors of violence especially women (WP2/WP3 beneficiaries).
● VET Educators & Students: Fashion schools and training centers.
● SMEs & Micro-entrepreneurs : Small manufacturing units looking for circular models, 20 mapped businesses per country looking for circular transitions.
Secondary Target Groups
● Conscious Consumers: Individuals interested in the #WhoMadeMyClothes Fashion Revolution movement.
● Local Authorities: Municipalities and regional development agencies.
● EU Policy Makers: Members of the European Parliament and circular economy working groups.
Role of the Target Groups
Primary target groups are expected to be the direct participants, users, and beneficiaries of the project’s circular manufacturing training, the Citizen Science Hub, and the VET learning modules. They play an active role in testing the project’s pedagogical approach and providing data for the research on textile waste.
Role of the Target Groups
Secondary target groups—including established Urban Fashion Labs, SMEs, and local authorities—act as strategic supporters, multipliers, and decision-makers. Their involvement is crucial for the market integration of the pilot collections, the long-term sustainability of the decentralized manufacturing model, and the effective adoption of the project’s policy recommendations at the regional and European levels.
THE PARTNERS
AMFI
The Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) is the largest fashion institute in the Netherlands and unique in its kind: it is the only educational institution that unites all parts of the fashion chain under one roof. We bring creativity, technology and entrepreneurship together. Every year, we train over 1,500 students to become fashion professionals who can make an impact, both inside and outside the industry.
Cedecs–TCBL
Cedecs-TCBL is a company of European consultants in the organization and management of innovation on European textile-clothing R&D projects.
Since 2024 it is based on a multidisciplinary and multinational team of associated experts.
The team includes 20 senior and experienced consultants, of 10 different nationalities, with varied profiles, economists, urban planners, designers, managers, entrepreneurs, makers, etc.
Cedecs-TCBL develops European networks of sustainable innovation, transform these networks into sustainable ecosystems, facilitates the training of new entrepreneurs.
Fashion Revolution France
Founded the day after the Rana Plaza collapse—April 24, 2013—in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the NGO Fashion Revolution advocates for a clean, safe, fair, transparent, and responsible fashion system through research, education, and advocacy. A global movement active in 80 countries, Fashion Revolution shares a collective vision of a fashion industry that preserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit.
Soffa
SOFFA is a Greek based eco-sustainable and circular fashion manufacturing studio that provides work integration to women survivors victims of human trafficking – SGBV (Sex Gender Based Violence) and refugees through vocational training in circular fashion principles and zero waste processes with recycled, natural, vegan and plant-based textiles that support environmental regeneration. SOFFA supports the local ecosystem of textile, cthrough a holistic approach that creates value for everyone involved.
ULBS
The “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu-ULBS is one of the oldest universities in Romania, with a tradition of over 225 years. The University promotes unique specializations in the Romanian academic space, and the high degree of trust recommends ULBS as a strong-institution involved in increasing the quality of the educational process. The promotion of study programs in languages of international ciculation, of teaching methods based on information technology and the generalization of the implementation of the European Transferable Credit System represent guarantees for the consolidation of the educational process.
